France - Anne Chapelière

Bailliage of France
Montpelier, December 29, 2024

A woman of commitment
" an inspiring figure, with an extraordinary journey and unwavering dedication "

Anne Chapelière is a woman with deep and rich roots, born in Lyon and nurtured by the banks of the Rhône. With a Mediterranean heritage from her mother and Spanish roots from her father, she embodies the warmth and elegance of her origins. Early on, she fell in love with the gastronomic and oenological richness of Burgundy, where she pursued her studies and developed a passion for the culinary arts that has become an integral part of her identity.

Professionally, Anne dedicated many years of her life to an essential public service: pensions. She climbed the ranks to become a mediator for the Grand Sud, a role in which she excelled in communication and conflict resolution. Since retiring three years ago, she has founded her own training company specializing in customer relations and management, using her expertise to benefit others.

A woman of commitment, she also serves as a departmental delegate for the Defender of Rights, with a specialization in social and prison law, while acting as a professional jury member in several trades. Highly active with the Maison de l’Europe in Montpellier, she is also involved in the city’s archaeological society, participates in a street theatre troupe, and contributes to a national philosophical association. Her numerous activities reflect a life driven by a passion for exchange and civic engagement.

Beyond her many responsibilities, Anne is a grandmother who earns the admiration of her grandchildren, even if they might wish for a more “traditional” grandmother. She balances her professional projects, her community involvement and the pleasures of gastronomy.

A Chaîne member since October 2023, Anne has found fulfilment within this epicurean fraternity. She enthusiastically participates in outings and tastings, enjoying the conviviality that pervades every gathering. Alongside the local Bailli of Montpelier, she is actively working on developing a convivial programme for 2025, aiming to elevate the visibility of the Chaîne in the Languedoc.

Always ready to share, Anne has even revealed her famous recipe for brasucade, a Mediterranean specialty of grilled mussels, which is the pride of her meals with friends and fellow members. This dish, like Anne herself, is generous and authentic, with flavours that evoke her sun-kissed roots.

In short, Anne Chapelière is an inspiring figure, with an extraordinary journey and unwavering dedication, embodying the values of sharing, discovery and transmission that make the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs thrive.
