Was it the best yet? It certainly feels that way!

From the vibrant posts shared on the Social Media Wall to the many reports and photographs received directly from Bailliages across the globe, World Chaîne Day 2026 has proved to be another outstanding success.

Each year, this special day offers members a moment to express their pride in belonging to the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, while embracing a shared spirit of friendship and international camaraderie that transcends borders.

First introduced in 2014 in Finland as a national initiative, World Chaîne Day quickly gained momentum and was embraced worldwide the following year. Since then, it has become a highlight of the Chaîne calendar.

In 2026, celebrations spanned the globe - from Australia to the Americas - taking place on Saturday, April 25th, or on surrounding dates to accommodate local calendars and traditions.

Among the many memorable moments:
• The National Bailliage of Brazil marked the occasion with its formal inauguration, making the day particularly significant.
• The National Bailliage of Ethiopia celebrated its very first World Chaîne Day, following its establishment in 2025.
• In Switzerland, the Bailliage of Pays de Vaud commemorated an impressive milestone, celebrating its 75th anniversary on this special day.
• In Finland - the birthplace of World Chaîne Day - Professional member establishments once again demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm, supported in equal measure by Non-professional members.

Thanks to the wealth of content shared via the Social Media Wall and submitted directly, the Chaîne News Online has been able to showcase a rich selection of stories and celebrations from around the world.

It is deeply encouraging to see that the passion for this unique day remains as strong as ever. This year’s theme, “Tastes of the World” - introduced in 2025 - was once again embraced with creativity and enthusiasm across many Bailliages.

Special congratulations go to my International Board colleague, Ari-Pekka Parviainen, Chair of the World Chaîne Day Organising Committee, and his dedicated team for their continued vision and commitment.

Looking ahead, Ari-Pekka tells me that exciting developments are already under way for World Chaîne Day 2027. Further details, including the official date and plans, will be announced in due course - so watch this space!
