This year’s magnificent black tie event was staged at the “Club el Nogal”. Nearly 70 Chaîne members and guests gathered in this exclusive private club for a gala evening including an exquisite dinner prepared by our own Officier Maître Rôtisseur Humberto Sanchez.

The idea to create the Club was born in 1989 as a result of the initiative of a group of Colombian businessmen to offer to the city of Bogotá a private social and business environment. Six years later, El Nogal opened its doors and today it is one of the most important clubs in Latin America. Located in the heart of the business district, since its inauguration it has been an acclaimed and much appreciated cultural, sports, social, gastronomic and business centre.

The delightful evening began with the Induction Ceremony, which witnessed 15 new members receiving their Chaîne regalia and several well deserved promotions. At the end of the formalities we celebrated with Juve & Camps Cava.

Dinner consisted of a masterfully-created five courses. We were surprised by an outstanding interpretation of the Peruvian “Causita” with octopus, shrimp and salmon, by our dear Confrère. Equally outstanding was his “Tropezon de Gorgonzola”, which consisted of morsels of Gorgonzola on a white chocolate cream.

By the time the exceptionally-presented dessert arrived to the sound of a beautifully performed tango (by Fabio Cristancho’s quartet), the room exploded in applause.

Definitely a night to remember!
