Indonesia Dinner

Bailliage of South Jakarta, Indonesia
Jakarta, May 14, 2018

Dots, balls, lights ... and dinner!
" The menu featured the finest meats from Australia's Victoria State "

Our latest dinner was definitely one of the year’s most exciting events. It took place at Museum Macan, a state-of-the-art modern art gallery in Jakarta and the first institution of its kind in Indonesia.

It could not have been arranged at a better time because the museum is currently displaying the first large-scale exhibition of the legendary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama that includes over 130 of her works spanning almost 70 years of artistic practice.

Prior to the cocktail reception, members and their guests enjoyed a privately-guided tour by Aaron Seeto, the museum’s Director. It was an amazing experience. We had the museum to ourselves, dined in an elegant, art-filled space, serenaded by a classical duet.

The menu featured the finest meats from Australia’s Victoria State, especially and kindly supported by the Victoria State government as were the wines which were the very best.

Naturally, the organising committee hand-picked Chef Sean Macdougall, an Australian native, Executive Chef of the Ritz Carlton Pacific Place, to create an exquisite, in fact exceptional, menu inspired by his home country
