Neptune's Treasures theme at the Lung Shao Yeh Seafood Restaurant
This “Neptune’s Treasures” themed event was held at the Lung Shao Yeh Seafood Restaurant. As both the name of the restaurant and the theme for event imply it was all about the culinary treasures of the sea.
Taiwan being an island off the coast of China one can expect an abundance of savoury seafood dishes and we were not disappointed. The restaurant offers a simple but attractive, understated décor typical for traditional Taiwanese restaurants.
Commencing the seafood theme, the canapés comprised handmade squid balls, fish balls, prawn cakes and smoked egg. A delicious chilled cava was the perfect foil to the myriad of flavours.
For the dinner all the dishes were based on popular Taiwanese fare prepared with great care, special refinements and cooked to perfection.

The seafood dishes were accompanied by a selection of white wines that matched and enhanced the character of the various food items. The fried abalone, steamed grouper and a steamed king lobster were memorable among all the outstanding creations.
It was a delightful evening in a very relaxed atmosphere in the best tradition of the Chaîne.
