Celebrating the 'art of the table'
" Bailli Glenn Hammer welcomed 42 members and their guests to Grasing'’s Restaurant "
Our Bailliage celebrated “World Chaîne Day 2022” with members from the nearby Bailliages of San Francisco and Sacramento.
Bailli Glenn Hammer welcomed 42 members and their guests to Grasing’s Restaurant. As we sipped glasses of J. Charpentier Champagne Brut Reserve Glenn introduced renowned Chef Cal Stamenov, who described the dinner’s delectable six courses. Échanson Greg Quiring gave an elegant description for specific pairings.

A very special Bailliage tradition is that members bring magnums from their wine cellars to share. As wine flowed, stories were shared of the wines contributed and experiences as Bailliage members. Notable vintages included 1978 Château Margaux and 1982 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon.
Special wines, exceptional food and excellent company rounded out a truly memorable, celebratory fine dining experience befitting World Chaîne Day 2022.
