Korea Dinner

Bailliage of Korea
Seoul, June 18, 2022

Revelling in Stefano di Santi's little Italian 'village'
" In typically Italian fashion, the meal was simple yet delicious and generous "

Top-class Italian cuisine and hospitality in the centre of Seoul can be found in Borgo Hannam where Chef Stefano di Santi’s Michelin-starred little Italian “village” is located.

Revealing his Italian heritage and extensive food and beverage experience at prestigious venues: Hotel Il Pellicano (Tuscany); Hyatt and Marriott properties worldwide including Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Grand Hyatt Shanghai, Park Hyatt Seoul, and JW Marriott Southbeach (Singapore), Chef Stefano welcomed us to a refined, yet cosy meal paired with delicious wines.

In typically Italian fashion, the meal was simple yet delicious and generous. The atmosphere was immensely relaxed and jovial to the delight of all the guests. From the prosciutto to the olive oil and Oscietra caviar, Chef Stefano accentuated each dish with special ingredients and flavours unmistakably Italian yet took full advantage of local ingredients that were in season, such as the zucchini flowers, to maximize the taste and freshness of each dish.

The event ended on a high note with Chef Stefano’s homemade liquor and plates full of pastries that wowed everyone. It came as no surprise that Chef Stefano had considered becoming a pâtissier. His love for Italy, fine cuisine, pastries, and spirits shone through in this single meal.

Bravo, Chef Stefano, and thank you!
