'Night at the Oscars'
" The evening commenced with a photo session on the red carpet "
Nairobi’s exclusive Capital Club sixth floor was the setting for our second formal dinner of the year.
The evening commenced with a photo session on the red carpet as each glamorously-attired guest arrived and was ceremoniously awarded “The Oscar”.
Roget Goulart Organic Cava was enjoyed in the cocktail lounge which quickly filled with the chatter and laughter of 55 guests. Academy Award-winning tunes played in the background.
The main event of the evening was the sumptuous seven-course paired dinner in the Club’s banquet room. Chef Caleb Odera had named his dishes after Oscar-winning movies. These were served in synchronized style by the Capital Club service team. Although everyone present was a winner in their own right, the “true stars of the show” were aromatic duck, succulent lamb, and decadent chocolate dessert, beautifully elevated by the Remy Martin VSOP Cognac digestif.
