Black Tie Gala Festive Induction Evening
" A Christmas photo booth recorded lovely memories for members "
Bailliage members and their guests participated in a Chapitre with Festive Gala Dinner at the National Wine Centre on November 25th.
This sold-out event saw members inducted to the grades of Maître Rôtisseur, Professional du Vin, Chef Rôtisseur, Dame de la Chaîne and Chevalier as well as to the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD).
The evening commenced with canapes served with Champagne Jacquart. Once seated the Chapitre commenced with Bailli Délégué Norm Harrison, in his capacity as a Member of the Conseil Magistral, inducting and promoting members.
A five-course menu with curated wines was prepared by the excellent team from the Wine Centre. Chaîne member and Cooper, Andrew Young, provided the cask which was filled with Teeling Irish Whiskey to add to the casks owned by the Bailliage. The cask was piped in by piper Iain Carr much to the delight of members attending. Of course, a ‘wee tipple’ was required just to make sure the contents were satisfactory. A Christmas photo booth recorded lovely memories for members.
On behalf of the Bailliage of South Australia I would like to welcome our new members and congratulate those who received promotions. Thank you to Norm and Serena and our hard- working committee whose contribution made this evening such a great success.
Wishing all members and partners a wonderful festive season and a safe and happy New Year.
