For the Chinese, the Year of the Rabbit is predicted to bring “hope”. Much needed as the post-COVID-19 world brushes itself off after some challenging years. Symbolizing prosperity, longevity and peace, the Rabbit provided great inspiration for our first Ordre Mondial des Gourmet Dégustateurs (OMGD) event of the year.

Our star guests, Cognac and Armagnac, were paired with an extravagant dinner at Man Tables. The brainchild of celebrated Chef Man, Man Tables is the private dining arm of the popular Chef Man restaurant group.

Members and their guests were fêted with dishes featuring oyster spring rolls, bird’s nest soup, abalone-stuffed pastry, pigeon, and pork.

A veritable parade of fine libations accompanied the dishes. Domaine de Boingneres Eau de Vie de Folle Blanche was the welcoming drink. Pellehaut Blanche Armagnac and Dartigalongue ‘30 ans’ Bas Armagnac respectively started and ended the meal.

All in all, a fine evening was had by all, punctuated by peace, prosperity, and most importantly, hope.
