" we presented a specially created dessert for all to enjoy "

World Chaîne Day for the Bailliage of Eastern Seaboard was celebrated at May’s Restaurant in Pattaya. in conjunction with the rest of the world celebrating this iconic day.

Our repast featured delicious, refined Thai cuisine from “farm to table”. That is “same but very different” complemented by fresh Thai inspired cocktails. These included a pomelo/Aperol spritz and a passion fruit margarita. Wines were sourced from around the world (New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Austria). As a result, the evening was a truly meaningful and memorable celebration.

The highly spirited evening kicked off with pre-dinner canapes featuring farm-to-table duck from the restaurant’s own farm; crispy prawn with tamarind; grilled crab leg with peanut, dill and chilli sauce.

The quality, preparation, taste and presentation of menu was perfectly executed which stimulated great conversations on the creative experience. Of special mention was the lobster tom yam consommé and the tender Massaman-style lamb cutlet.

Members were very excited and pleased to receive the beautifully designed 2023 World Chaîne Day pin wearing them with excitement from the heart.

As the dinner drew to a close, we enjoyed a specially created dessert of coconut pandan cake with mango sticky rice and coconut foam accompanied by a 2019 Domane Wachau Beerenauslese ‘Terrassen’ from Austria.

Finally, individual Certificates of Appreciation were awarded together with a group Certificate of Appreciation to thank the passionate team for their fabulous preparation and presentation of the menu. Their warm service showed off the high standards expected by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

All made for a grand impression today and for many years to come of exciting Chaîne events.
