Members from the Bailliages of Macau SAR China, Hong Kong SAR China and Beijing in China, gathered at MGM Macau’s Aux Beaux Arts restaurant for an Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) “Once in a lifetime” dinner.

This event had been postponed for the past 3½ years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the willpower of members isn’t easily defeated!

Preston Thomas, one of the co-organizers of the dinner stated “I made a promise to my Chaîne brother Pedro Lobo in Macau that we would drink a bottle of 1815 Port together. Well, we didn’t expect COVID-19 to happen. However I’m a man of my word. Just like the Chaîne, chains don’t break.”

Indeed they don’t!

The welcome drink certainly set the scene. It was a Madeira Old Fashion (Ed: Justino’s Madeira Verdelho 10 Years Old, Bourbon Whiskey, Angostura).
