Trader Vic's 30th anniversary
" a perfectly crafted five course menu paired with delicious wines and an alcohol-free cider »

Our annual pilgrimage to Trader Vic’s at the Beach Rotana took us to celebrate our 30th Anniversary since its opening in 1993.

On arrival we enjoyed tasty canapés paired with Nyetimber Classic Cuvée NV from Sussex, England and Brew-Dog ‘Dead Pony’ IPA Beer. A perfect beginning for a fun tropical lunch.

What followed was a perfectly crafted five course menu paired with delicious wines and an alcohol-free cider.

As is the case every year and for the past 30 years, the warm personal attention of Chef Rôtisseur Jimmy Sek excelled together with that of his team.

At the conclusion of the lunch, Conseiller Culinaire Rinaldo Boscaro gave the appreciation in front of the assembled kitchen and service brigades. Members showed their enthusiasm with loud applause.

Many thanks went to Restaurant Manager Arturo Martinez who made this successful event possible with his team together with Chef Rôtisseur Jimmy Sek and Executive Sous Chef Luca De Santi.

From members’ comments a return visit by the Chaîne to Trader Vic’s is certainly assured.

The lunch was however not quite over. Members and guests adjourned to the bar to enjoy Mai Tai’s and Tikki Puka cocktails to the sound of Cuban music by the lovely resident band.

It was indeed a grand lunch.

Vive la Chaîne!
