Alexandra Verges was inducted as a Chargée de Missions during the Grand Chapitre of the Bailliage of Switzerland held in Sion from September 20-22.

She told the Chaîne News Online, “I’m Swiss and of mixed culture, nicknamed “la voix d'Or” (English: the golden voice) at the age of 10. With a passion for theatre and music I started taking a few classes at the “Cours Simon” in Paris while doing a law degree at Paris II Assas. Later, although I was offered a role in a feature film, I decided to continue my studies in law, taxation and accountancy with a view to working in prestigious firms such as Arthur Andersen International and KPMG Fidal, and finally opening my own international practice firstly in Paris and then abroad.”

Alexandra continued, “As a lawyer registered with the Paris Bar, I work internationally through our central office in the Principality of Andorra. We advise our clients on a case-by-case basis in highly specialized areas such as international tax strategy and the representation of super-yacht owners whatever their yacht building, purchase, charter or sale project. We handle a wide range of cross-border issues, including transfers of residence and citizenship by investment, for high-net-worth individuals, international families and businesses.”

The Échanson of the Bailliage of Switzerland introduced Alexandra to the Chaîne. Following this introduction Alexandra took part in several events during which she really appreciated the camaraderie between the members, the excellent organisation and the high quality of the food and wine tasted. On which subject, Alexandra enthused that she has a passion for dark chocolate and inventive cooking to go with good wines.

As a result of her enthusiasm for the Chaîne and for already organising dinners in the Principality through her “Carpe Diem” WhatsApp group, she approached the International HQ in Paris proposing the re-establishment of a National Bailliage in Andorra.

Accordingly, we wish Alexandra well in her endeavours to recruit a sufficient number of members to achieve the objective.

Ed. Andorra, officially the Principality of Andorra, is a sovereign landlocked country on the Iberian Peninsula, in the eastern Pyrenees in Western Europe, bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south.
