Restaurant Savoy lived up to its reputation

The Bailliage of Helsinki organized its local winter Chapitre on January 31st. Due to the timing, the event was named the “Tammikapituli” (January Chapitre).
“Tammikapituli” was held at Savoy, one of Helsinki’s most traditional fine dining restaurants. A Chaîne-certified restaurant; Savoy’s reputation is based on top-notch quality measured by all metrics.
Over 120 members and guests gathered for the event for which the Savoy’s dining hall was festively decorated.
The evening began with an Induction Ceremony presided over by Bailli Délégué Johanna Hornborg-Ojala in her capacity as a Member of the Conseil Magistral. Twenty-four members received their first ribbons; two members were recognized with a Grand Commandeur plaque in honour of their membership of over 40 years. In addition, 15 OMGD (Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs) pins were awarded.
The Gala Dinner began with a glass of excellent Crémant. The five-course menu consisted of traditional Finnish and winter dishes. The courses were beautiful and delicious. Each one had a carefully selected wine pairing.
At the end of the evening, the menu received praise from participants without exception. Special thanks also went to the Savoy restaurant staff who showed that the restaurant is still able to provide classic, professional and punctual service.
The “Tammikapituli” was a very successful event overall. It kicked off the 2026 programme for the Bailliage of Helsinki on a high note!
