International Grand Chapitre & AGM - Thursday

Aix-en-Provence, June 11, 2026

Off to a great start!

" Blending heritage, creativity, and refinement, the evening lived up to the promise of a sensory journey where culture and gastronomy met with elegance "

We knew from early on that the programme for the 2026 International Grand Chapitre & AGM in Aix-en-Provence was highly anticipated.

President Atallah and the International Board, as well as Secrétaire Générale Sabine Tachot and her team from the International Headquarters in Paris, were very much looking forward to seeing members from around the world for what promised to be another wonderful moment of gastronomy and friendship.

Reservations for the events were opened on March 10th and everything was sold out within a week. Never had this happened in such a short time!

In fact, because of the exceptional demand, an alternative dinner was arranged for the Friday evening to accommodate those who had missed out first time round. (See the separate report on this day’s activities).

Meeting of the International Board
During the day the International Board deliberated on “affairs of State” at its traditional meeting with a full agenda covering all aspects of the governance of the Confrérie.

Welcome Dinner
The opening social event in the Grand Chapitre programme was the “Welcome Dinner” on Thursday, June 11th at the Centre d’Art Caumont, 3 rue Joseph Cabassol, 13100 Aix-en-Provence.

Today dedicated to major international art exhibitions, the magnificent 18th-century mansion offers a unique cultural experience within an exceptional historic setting. Its salons, gardens, and period décor create an atmosphere of timeless charm and sophistication.

Within the enchanting surroundings of the venue, a culinary experience inspired by the Provençal art de vivre awaited the members and their guests. Upon arrival, we stepped into the refined surroundings of the beautifully restored property. Elegant salons, delicate frescoes, and intimate gardens set the scene for the dinner, each course of which showcased the finest local flavours, accompanied by the region’s best wines.
