Sunshine dining on the terrace at Restaurant 't Misverstant
" As usual the event was not only attended by Dutch guests but also enjoyed by visitors from Belgium and Germany "
A beautiful sunny Thursday afternoon enabled the lunch to take place on the terrasse of the Restaurant ’t Misverstant in Vught.
The restaurant is located in one of the buildings of an old barracks complex on a historic fortress protecting the town of ’s-Hertogenbosch (Ed. the Duke’s forest).
The luncheon was well attended by 33 members and guests, who were served a delicious menu. As usual the event was not only attended by Dutch guests but also enjoyed by visitors from Belgium and Germany. The pleasant friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the Bailliage of Netherlands is much appreciated by friends from abroad!
A very nice Salentein Sparkling blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir greeted the guests upon arrival, followed by various amuse-bouches.
A North Sea crab and steak tartare course was followed by lamb dishes. Panna Cotta for dessert then coffee or tea with friandises. All dishes were accompanied by selected wines of the house of Salentein in Argentina.
Patron cuisinier Thijs Vis, his kitchen brigade and service staff made sure that this event went smoothly and professionally.
Bailli Ted Janssen ably discussed the dishes and wines. He thanked Thijs Vis for this enjoyable afternoon. To much applause a certificate of appreciation was presented by Bailli Délégue Siebe Stellingwerff Beintema.
