Welcoming guests with famed hospitality since 1947, The Reefs Resort & Club is a family-owned and operated resort where standards are high and service is key. David Dodwell Sr. acquired the resort in 1981 and has been recognized as an outstanding hotelier demonstrating excellence of resort operations as well as impacting Caribbean tourism with his endeavours.
Having grown up playing on the pink-sand beach of The Reefs, David Dodwell Jr, joined his father in the quest to provide memorable travel experiences for guests. As Resort Manager, David oversees all sales and marketing initiatives, revenue management and front office operations for both the Resort and The Reefs Club private residences.
The Reefs Resort & Club is a Chaîne-member establishment with Maître Hôtelier Nagma Walker being its General Manager and Maître Rôtisseur Douglas Sisk its Executive Chef.
In 2009 Nagma Walker was engaged to open The Reefs Club, a set of luxurious beachfront private residences. Regarding the project as the greatest achievement of her career to date, she landed a promotion as the new General Manager of the Resort. In 2014, Nagma was named Bermuda’s Hotelier of the Year.
Prior to working at The Reefs, she held management positions at other Bermuda family resorts, including the Ariel Sands Hotel and Beach Club and Elbow Beach Hotel. An avid athlete, Nagma enjoys a long run on her day off.
Maître Rôtisseur Douglas Sisk started in the restaurant business at 14 years old, working as a bus boy and dishwasher. After realizing his natural passion for the kitchen, he began cooking and worked every available position, determined to gain as much experience as possible.
Chef Douglas attended Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky, where he gained a degree in Culinary Arts and Hotel Restaurant Management. Now, with over 27 years of experience and countless accolades, he brings his world-renowned talents to The Reefs Resort & Club where he is proud to help uphold the resort's esteemed reputation.
