Milestone for the first Pacific nation National Bailliage
The Bailliage held a presentation evening for new members to receive their nomination certificates and membership cards.
Bailli Délégué Phillip Nordt welcomed everyone to the Nautilus Resort, Rarotonga, situated on the edge of Muri Lagoon. This eco-friendly Resort is not only a hop, skip and jump away from the mystical lagoon but is nestled in lush tropical gardens with a stunning mountain backdrop.
Establishment hosts, Jane Pearson (Resort Owner) and Mike Forsbender (Executive Chef) presented a French-inspired buffet selection that blew one’s taste buds away. To highlight some of the dishes on offer, there were oysters on the rocks, ricotta crostinis, prawn skewers glazed with coriander chilli butter and mini lemon tarts.
The buffet food was matched with endless glasses of Moët & Chandon champagne – definitely a great selection to celebrate this milestone for the first Pacific nation National Bailliage.
Members who received their nomination certificates and membership cards took the opportunity to pose for the camera. They received a standing ovation from all present for the occasion: smiling, happy people in attendance – the true Cook Islands’ spirit.
Thank you Nautilus Resort for a great evening!
